“Cirkus” is a movie about twin brothers named A and B square who is adopted by two different couples and given new names. The story takes place in the late 60s or early 70s in the picturesque green hills of Ooty and pays tribute to Bollywood cinema of that time. The film is supposed to be a comedy of errors, but it lacks the ingredient of humor. Ranveer Singh plays both brothers, but neither character is convincing. The film is filled with caricatures, unfunny dialogues, and situations that go nowhere. The only highlight is Johnny Lever’s performance as Polson bhai. “Cirkus” tries to entertain with slapstick comedy and drama but fails to make the audience laugh.

The movie earned 6.25 crore rupees on its first day in India and 27.95 crore rupees in the first week. As of January 10, 2023, it has earned 38.21 crore rupees in India and 19.03 crore rupees overseas for a total of 57.24 crore rupees worldwide. Unfortunately, it was unsuccessful and did not make much money at the box office.
