What do you need to do in theme customization?
In theme customization, you can change the colour of the theme, change the font size of the theme, add gadgets to the theme, and many more themes customizing options.
If you want to add some more gadgets to the theme, then you have to go to the layout section. You will find here more available gadgets to give more functionality to your blog.

How to customize a Blogger theme?
- First of all, you have to go to the Blog Dashboard area. Then click on Theme.
- There you will find a customize button. Click on that button.
This will take you directly to the theme customization page. There you will find some important options to design the theme.
What type of customizations you will get here?
You will find options like:
- To add background images to your blog
- To change the main colour of your blog theme
- Advance Colour setting for some specific elements
- Selected gadgets set up
#1 To add background images to your blog
If you want to add an image to the blog background, then you can add it here.
How to add:
- Click on the background image option. This will show you a pop-up box with different types of images.
- Choose an image from available images.
- Click on the done button.
The background image of your theme will change.
If you want to use an image of your own as a background image, you can also apply. Therefore you will get an option to upload the image at the top.
How to add:
- Click on the upload image button.
- On the right side, you will find an option of Select Image. Click on the select image button.
- This will open the pop-up box of your computer’s folder location.
- Select and upload your favorite image from your computer. Your image will be uploaded.
- Once uploaded, click on the Done button.
The background image of your theme will change.
#2 To change the main colour of your blog theme
When you change a theme in your blog, the default colour installed automatically. If you do not like this colour, then you can change it here.
How to change:
- Click on the colour change symbol below the main colour theme.
- It will show you all the available colours of Blogger. Choose your favorite colour.
#3 Advanced setting
You will get advanced settings here. You can change the colour of some specific elements of your blog such as title colour, menu colour, text colour, etc. Also, you can change or adjust the fonts of your blog theme here.
The below options in advance settings you will find:
- Colours of menu, title, footer, text, link & more.
- Blog width
- The font size of the blog, and more.
The advanced setting depends on the blog theme. You will find different types of settings in many themes. You get more advanced setting options in Blogger’s theme. But you will not get more options in third-party themes. Because third-party themes are predesigned themes.
#4 Some selected gadgets set up
You will get the facility to add a few select gadgets here. Such as About me. If you want to tell your visitors something about yourself through your blog, you can tell through the “about me” gadget.
How to do:
- Just below the “about me”, you will get the option to “show about me”. You must enable this option.
Last Step: After customizing your theme do not forget to click on save.
