Speed card game rules
Speed is a fast-paced card game for two players. The objective of the game is to get rid of all your cards as quickly as possible.
Here are the rules for Speed:
- Split the deck into two piles of 26 cards each. Each player takes one pile and holds it face-down.
- Both players turn over the top card of their pile and place it in the middle between them.
- Each player tries to place cards from their hand onto the cards in the middle. Cards can be placed on the middle piles in ascending or descending order. For example, if the middle card is a 5, a player can place a 4 or a 6 on top of it. Aces can be high or low, so they can be placed on either a king or a 2.
- Both players can play cards at the same time. If there is a gap in the middle, either player can fill it with a card from their hand.
- If both players are unable to play a card, they both simultaneously flip a card from their stockpile onto the middle piles.
- The first player to get rid of all their cards wins the game.
- If both players run out of cards at the same time, the player who played their last card the fastest wins.
- If both players are unable to play any more cards and their stockpiles are empty, the game ends in a draw.
Speed is a game that requires quick reflexes and sharp thinking. It’s a great game to play with friends or family, and can be a lot of fun once you get the hang of it.
